I have walked passed this shop dozens of times and not looked inside - not sure why not, as it looks like the sort of shop that I could spend a day in! I'll have a peruse next week.
Oh there goes Mr R's xmas fund methinks  My reputation for leading folk astray on the shopping front re affirmed
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

An excellent shop! I thoroughly recommend it. Not only does it have many items on sale cheaper than you can buy them online ('Hultafors' knives for under a fiver), but the chap who runs it is friendly, talks to his customers and offers advice! :o

Well worth a visit.

I found a really good army surplus shop in Alnwick Northumberland whilst up there earlier this year, unfortunately I had the wife with me so couldn't fill the car up with stuff I would have liked, the thing that was different with this shop was it had all sorts of survival gear in there aswell as the usual combats and sleeping bags, I will be going back next year as he had SA80 bayonettes at a reasonable price and I could do with another

There's a very good 'outdoors' shop, called 'Camouflage', just outside of Paignton:

I might have spent way too much money in there today

Out of interest, what did you buy? I purchased a 'Keela' waterproof there a few years ago - excellent product!

Thanks for that. I have been in there a couple of times now - the owners a helpful chap and appears to know what he's talking about!
