Non-electric lighting ?
Wow, I really want to make/buy a clock work lamp! (and not just because steampunk is awesome!)
Shame there is no link to a price. No idea how to make it....research needed!
Cheers

Re: Non-electric lighting ?
Brilliant lamp but, I think the lamp is a "concept" rather than a production item.

Re: Non-electric lighting ?
Surely you could butcher one of the wind up radios to do something similar? Great concept though

Re: Non-electric lighting ?
My hurricane lamp arrived today from ebay.
Its bloody small, but looks a tidy bit of kit, came with a little funnel and a spare wick, will pop down to B&Q early next week and get some paraffin, and give her a run out
Worth a punt for a fiver, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Rayman
when you say small, how small?
Could you take some pictures with something else so we can get an idea of scale please.

Re: Non-electric lighting ?
Hi WW, Yeah, from base to top (not includind the carrying handle) it is 7 inches high.
Can't take pics at the moment, but will give the lantern a run out as soon as I get some paraffin, however, it is a small , very small lantern.
Mind you, I think one of these would suite around the house, in a power cut this thing should be able to light enough to see you ok from room to room.
Will update once ive tested it.
