Re. medicine, well one of them is on board with prepping, the other (her mother) thinks we're nuts lol, but I think she's slightly coming around to the idea (I think the problems caused by snow recently made her realise that it doesn't hurt to be prepared for the more minor situations at least). We've been trying to get extra meds where possible, but I doubt there's enough in our store for more than a couple of weeks, if that.

Unfortunately, our doctor keeps close tabs on when we order and they are pretty strict about not ordering early. I think it's because both are on very strong painkillers and I suppose the obvious assumption would be that they're getting addicted to them or something, rather than needing an emergency supply. I think if the SHTF neither my friend nor her mum would have much of a chance.
