The other day I was cleaning out the big old plastic barrel that collects water from the greenhouse roof when I thought it’d be handy to have a couple on the patio. So I looked on the B&Q site and they were about 30 quid apices.
Obviously I’d want something a bit more pleasing to the eye than the barrel next to the greenhouse but I reckon the ones made into water butts for B&Q are very similar to those used to ship food ect that can be had at a fraction of the price.

That’s exactly what I thought when I saw them, think I'll just get two of them from Wilkinsons although if I could find I bet those barrels wouldn’t be bad for food storage, might get a couple when I finally get around to putting some long term stuff in Mylar.
I assume your keeping the water butt inside? -cause even though its a water butt - the water is usually used for watering plants etc - so plastic is not food grade and when the water butt gets heated the plastic can release gases
