its a good find. im going to have a good look through the jars in a while to see if there's any good deals.
the pressure cooker is really cheap and i will be buying one next week to get myself started.

A pressure cooker is a must. Saves you a fortune in gas or elect as well, and you can get loads in. Also a must is a slow cooker -although thats going OT. :mrgreen: which I never do..

A decent pressure cooker will last many years as well. We have an old Prestige one which MrsCC has had since the 1970's, the only thing that has needed replacing is the seal which is only about a fiver

We use a small Nordicware pressure cooker that goes in the microwave. Best of both worlds:

Cooks very fast and clean and has lasted for years and years. Ideal for two or three people. Really worth the cost.

Beware though, there are some pots on the market that claim to be microwave pressure cookers but are not designed to hold pressure, they are just closed pots with a knob on the top. Always look for a good seal.

ill be getting one next week. i love my stews and it gives me a chance to do some canning (with glass jars).
