Oh go on then!
To be fair, Hamradioop beat me to it. You friend and mine YOUTUBE!
Search for Gamekeeper John and work from there. John will show you what is possible with a catapult. I am a good shot, but this fella is next level.

A fascinating thread, I bought my son a Black Widow slingshot, he keeps it in his rucksack, the only thing we managed so far to hit was a big rat rummaging around the bins in the car park and Shildon Railway museum ( almost my second home) we did not kill it but its definitely got a sore bum for a few days.

I actually did not know until fairly recently that you hold a sling shot handle horizontally !!!, I have always believed you held it upright but there are videos on Youtube showing experts holding the ss horizontally and aiming using the uppermost arm of the ss.

Recently I have been looking at Slingbows and have tried to make my own by fastening a whisper biscuit off a bow to a sling shot secured with a couple of small hose clips, I think with a few tweaks it may well work.

The way you hold a catapult is entirely what you are comfortable with. The horizontal or 'Gangsta' style as many of the catty boys call it is not my style. I tend to shoot 'butterfly' style, meaning the forks are held high and the pouch drawn past my ear. More of an instinctive than aiming style. It is more of a diagonal hold I guess.
Anyhow, practice makes perfect. And have fun! :D

You can't beat making your own,I cut forks every time I see one.
And being a bit careful some call it tight,I use just normal elastic bands chained together.
Cheap option and you can have any power combination you like.

Nowt wrong with chains. A site I visit there is a latino chap uses cut forks and chains and he virtually feeds himself that way. Got to be THE simplest projectile tool in the world.

hi guys I'm new here but just thought i put my 2cents in, we use to make then I'm elementary school 5th grade, back home in cali, we would cut the top off a 2lt bottle ( the nozzle ) and add a balloon to it took us 5min, obviously what you posted is more hard core but in principle its the same, good stuff for pigeon hunting

Sorry do you have any pics of this? I'm being a bit dim and can't picture how this works.

Gamekeeper John just did a review of the pocket shot, it looks interesting although I probably wouldn't personally
