You cannot beat making a proper catapult. My favourite is a very small hazel fork with single Theraband elastic. I shoot 10mm lead slugs that I cast myself. A real pigeon killer.
I looked at your Amazon link. It looks like an expensive toy to me.

I just bought a sling shot from the prepper shop. I was dumb in thinking that a bag of practice plastic shot would help me learn shoot. It wasn't until I started using heavier stones that my aim improved. My son wants me to get him one as well but think I might try making it.

I shoot 10mm lead slugs that I cast myself.

What kind of range do you get with 10mm? Also what kind of band are you using?

Looks interesting but you might as well get a real one, I would recommend hand making one. If you hand make it you then have the skills to make one during the SHTF, also it meet you specs. There not to hard to make, took me two hours to make mine and I loved it. Its just getting the right materials that can be a chore, you also need a little patience. Unfortunately after three years mine broke, but im working on making a new metal one. I plan to switch it with my bow, only squirrels and rabbits were I live so not much point of a bow unfortunately

I might do one if I get the time, unfortunately I only really get about 4-5 hours free time a week. That's spent either prepping or getting nagged by my girlfriend, I might start a page on how to make a wooden slingshot but im sure theres some tutorials on youtube.
