Hi everyone
I have been reading posts as a guest for a while now and it wasn't until recently that I finally considered myself a prepper.
I have been fascinated by the equipment and advice/experiences of you guy's and finally realised that I am normal after all.
After serving for her majesty,Royal Engineers in the eighties to early nineties, my perception of life changed and I have kept the basics ready for most eventualities such as food stock piles, emergency lighting mostly solar as free energy is always better than the paid for variety, water storage in 5ltr bottles enough for my family of 4 for about 2weeks with other fluids such as energy drinks etc, generators 2 of, just incase of black outs, oh and fuel of course......
Cooking equipment such as basic gas stoves and my latest addition, a kelly kettle base camp model with cookset - it's great and well worth the expense.
I suppose that I should have seen all the signs and realised what I was sooner, and with my better half now as devoted to prepping as me, I think that we may stand some sort of chance should the SHTF.
Well, that's the basics over with, thanks for taking time to read this and look forward to getting involved in your discussions.
Just getting ready to visit A**A for some more preps, not sure we're to put them but that won't stop me
See you later
