i have a holiday home in the dales just finished tanking the basement
looking to store family stuff when not renting out etc
question average temp around 12c & dry looking to put dry goods (rice pasta etc) in vacum bags then inside 60ltr air tight drums also tin food on shelves
would this be good for storage and is there anything else i should do

Sounds perfect as long as the temp doesn't vary much (which it probably won't), cool, dry and out of sunlight is great for food storage. Keep an eye on tins, as although it might seem dry as it is cool you might get moisture / condensation forming which will eat the tins slowly.
