Battery storage
Im my BOB i have about 2 dozen batteries in different sizes. They are currently just flung in in their original packaging and are taking up valuable space. Any thoughts on what i can store them in thats compact andvwill keep them "fresh"?

Re: Battery storage
Ok do explain why you would need that many batteries . A BOB should last you 72 hours its not a place to keep a battery collection, just take what you need. You might need batteries for a torch but 2 dozen i keep 3AA batteries in my bag for my headlamp and that's it.Dogmeat wrote:Im my BOB i have about 2 dozen batteries in different sizes. I would seriously think about taking the majority of the batteries out of the bag. That been said put them in a cheap tin you can buy in pound shop and tape it shut so its water proof.

Re: Battery storage
This is a fair point. I guess im borderline hoarder haha. Ive got a few torches and a small radio. Two dozen is more than enough really. Its a pretty huge bag and After i felt i had 72 hours worh of kit there was still room so i just kept adding to it
Re: Battery storage

Re: Battery storage
Use a wind up torch instead?
Or wind up torch radio?
Or wind up lantern?

Re: Battery storage
You need to make sure that all your battery operated kit is using the same batteries. Torches should ALWAYS be LED. low energy use
