Noob reporting

Post by gavino »

Hi Guys and Gals, Complete noob here. I have watched the preppers show on nat geo and been interested the it all for ages. I found this site after trying about 10 others but this seems to be the most active and informative.

I have been reading around the forum non stop for the last few days and i have a lot to get and prep for.

Loads of questions but i will keep reading for now as each post answers one.

Thanks
preppingsu

Hi gavino,

Welcome to the forum.
Can I ask what are you prepping for? (And please don't say the end of the world in Friday! )

Hey and welcome. What are you prepping for. It seems a lot of people have joined since watching nat geo.

Hope we all can help.

I don't think i am prepping for any one reason but the state of the world is only getting worse. Simply trying to prep the basics to cover all bases. If it does all go t*ts up on Friday I have a bag of rice in the cupboard and a dusty crossbow pistol.

Those that have BOL's, How have you gone about prepping it? i'm surrounding by national trust/forestry land and within a hours drive can be in the middle of no where but do i try and prep a shelter and hope they don't find it?

Many Thanks

I would say not on private land unless you own it of course but nudge nudge, I would place equipment caches in out of the way places that are easily accessible for yourself but inconspicuous, I am like you me and my family don't have a BOL but have enough kit and a trailer tent and 2 cars with towing hitches that we can pull the trailer tent and the trailer full of other gear should we have enough time to fill it also both cars are diesels and will burn anything ( oil/bio etc) and we have place caches around the area which we intend to head into. Nonspecific locations as a BOL but just somewhere to stay low. Also good If you want to go wild camping and walking round there and need any kind if equipment.

Also if this makes no sense I'm knackered but can't sleep. So everything has gone out the window.
Night all

Hello and welcome to the Forum. :)
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
