newbie prepper from essex

hi all fairly new to prepping so be gentle lol, im not prepping for one particular thing just want to be ready or at least partly ready incase anything happens and theres no access to food electric and so forth. will have to remain bugged in if the shtf cos of two young children and a pregnant wife (i know glutton for punishment lol). already amassed a fair amount of kit and trying to stockpile food and water which is very hard due to lack of funds and a lack of room any tips on that would be greatly appreciated.
