New Prepper in Bedford

Hi all.
Brand new to this message board so I'm hoping there are some kind people here who can show me the ropes!
I'm in the process of building a survival shelter in my back garden along the lines of the old nuclear shelters you see in the films. I've dug the trenches and laid the foundations and am currently waiting for my brother-in-law to get hold of a job lot of breezeblocks from his depot so I can really get the project underway.
Any tips or advice you have will be greatly appreciated.
