hi my name is jay im 34 an live in kent a husband and father of 4. main interests are family, football, fishing, darts, d.i.y. an general outdoor recreation. the past 18 months i have been thinking about prepping and have in the last few weeks started implementing them thoughts into practice. i am a stern believer that in the future something will happen to change our way of life as we know it. my wife is the only person who knows what i do as i feel its good to have your partner on board. i have stocked enough food an water for 2-3 months post 'shtf'... i have lighters, flint fire starters, fishing gear, hunting knifes, compass, etc.... being very new i hope if i keep this pace up in 6 months i will be well equipped to stand a chance of self preservation. i look forward to posting, receiving tips, helping others where i can, an feeling in good company with like minded others on this site.

hi jayjay im new to this forum too - and prepping although i have a predisposition when it comes to food stockpiling. how did u get ur wife on board - my husband is a spend and throw type of guy and would think im loony if he really knew wot i have in my shed lol.
