Loss of grid nuclear melt down

Ok so I have been prepping on and off for years because my fear of a solar mass ejection some time after jan next year when sun reaches it solar max but if we do loose power grid what happens to the nuclear power grid surely they only have generators to last short periods and not years
I have looked at the amount of active nuclear power plants in the uk and was shocked to find 2 alone in the north west Wales and near Lancashire
I'm scared now any advice from more experienced preppers x

there are automatic protocols in place which shut the reactors down , if you remember the Japanese tsunami theirs cut in shutting it down , but they had a problem with flood water entering the cooling tanks

Not 100% but I read somewhere that power plants have 10 days worth of power stored for situations that knock out the power grid

Nuclear plants have diesel backup generators to provide enough electricity to run the plant. The generators have more than enough operating time for the reactors to be shut down safely. However the automatic protocols that are in place to shut the reactors down in case of some sort of emergency are fine until they don't work. As mentioned above Fukushima for example but there are several others. It really doesn't matter why they fail if they fail. For the most part they do not fail so you should be fine.
