Don't know where to put this really but....
Over summer I worked with a community group - building and planting raised beds with veggies. I went there today to do some harvesting and weeding and found a half dozen syringes dumped in the beds (no I didn't touch them!). I called the council and understand they were straight round to remove them.
Should I bin all the crops? Is there any chance of contamination of the soil/veggies (thinking HIV)? Anyone knowledgeable about this sort of thing?

Re: Needles
Agreed. But what a horrible thing!
Re: Needles
worth bareing inb mind before you consign the lot to the compost heap , theres a good chance that what ever you have grown will need to be cooked . this will kill anything , if theres any thing to kill that is . so i would have thought it would be safe to eat .
YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .
Re: Needles
Cheers all. Council said the needles were unused so have harvested potatoes and kale (for Lil)

Re: Needles
Unused? How weird ... I wonder if someone needed to dump their stash in a hurry? Or just lost it, yikes. Glad your harvest can go ahead.
