Afternoon all - I have been lurking on here a while and thought it was about time to say hello.
I have been "readying" myself for a number of years now, well before the phrase "Prepping" came into the worlds consciousness. It seems lots of people have finally realised how fragile our society, and our hold on this worlds resources truly is. Yesterday's storm on the American East coast and the colossal amount of natural and man made disasters over the past few years should have sent the message home to the many.
In work today, colleagues were openly talking about stock piling food in case a similar event ever happened in the UK. It was interesting listening to them as they casually moved from food to fuel to communications to 4x4's. They then quickly skated over hunting and panicked briefly over water, before settling on the gold/silver debate. I thoroughly enjoyed siting back and listening, thinking this was me 10 years ago!
Lets just say that the light is now on and its burning brighter by the day.
Over and out
