Hi all,I have just joined. I have been researching prepping, though am in very small rented accom, small garden little space storage, thus considering prepping maybe some food supplies and toilet roll in our limited space loft, water but out back and also two ruck sack bug out bags.Larger 42-28 LTR for me and much smaller one for my wife (who does not take it seriously and may end up arguing about spending money on such prepping. So I will be doing limited but I hope well thought out kit. The former for food shortage /economical collapse chaos, the latter for natural or man mad super disaster or both.
One of my beliefs is information. Knowledge if society breaks down as well as info on the go. Books weight to much, I was thinking Monochrome Kindle or similar, with long battery life (10 days) and can be charged by the Wind crank Eaton radio USB charger. Downloading books on survival, old craft skills, first aid and medical symptoms, basic agriculture inc identifying of poisons in plants for protection or medicinal uses. (long term looking ahead when small communities form. Knowledge so society not turned back too far for humans.
Am I over reacting?
I live in Dorset (as the nickname may hint at ) Anyone live in my region?

Hello and welcome.
Sounds like you have a plan. My OH wasn't on board for a loooong time but after a period of unemployment and erratic income for me, he saw the benefits of having my food store.
He had a car accident recently (he was ok) and had to wait for 4 hours for the accident breakdown to arrive. He had no water, no food in the middle go no where. Now he sees the benefit of have a bag with some food, water, change of clothes etc in the boot of his car (before he used to roll his eyes at me).
So explain its like an insurance policy. You take it out in the hope you never have to use it but its there for that emergency. One day she will thank you for it.
