Hello from Northampton

Hi All,

My name is Ian I live in Northamptonshire. I am new to prepping but not new to the concept of it (have been thinking about and researching for some time). I am married with 1 young child. My wife is not a prepper but is hapy for me to do so on our behalf (she thinks its a bit odd but is concerned enough not to moan at me for prepping "in moderation"!).

I do not know any other preppers so am keen to meet and chat with as many people as I can. Would love also to chat to other local preppers. I am mainly prepping for WTSHTF as I believe this is going to happen within the next few years.

My biggest weakness is probably my lack of engineering skills and ablilty, I am a big strong fella gifted with strength over brains.

Looking forward to chatting to as many people as I can and sharing experiences.

Hello Pathfinder , Good intro , if it helps and its only my hunch I think the major bun fight ref economic collapse will be around 2013-2016. Its just an opinion so if I'm right I think you have some time to get ready and prep , I only mention this as when I 1st started Prepping in earnest I was awed by how much i had to do , get done , learn , store ect.
