From Essex

Post by PeteM »

Hello everyone.

I'm a 41 year old fella from London, now living in the wilds of Essex who has been reading for a few weeks here and has decided to get involved.

I suppose I've long been interested in prepping but have been lazy and satisfied with what I've been doing because hiking and camping are interests of mine. If I have a rucksack and tent I'm ready, yes?

Well not really. Economics is another interest of mine and I have a very bad feeling about the next few years. Western economies are in a much worse state than three years ago and a severe reckoning is certain. Now more than ever societies aren't equipped to deal with shocks and hardship and historians will look back on these years as revolutionary times.

Happy days.

That's what has really sparked my interest in doing what you can to prepare for natural or man-made events, so here I am.

Hi Pete,

Glad you decided to join in - it's good to have you here! Sounds like you might have some useful insight into the economical side of the situation we're in right now. I'm with you in thinking things aren't headed anywhere good economically right now. The more of us that are prepared for what's to come, the better imo!

Anyway, welcome. :)

Don't believe her! Of course, if you offer her sweeties then she'll do anything for you ;)

Welcome to UK-P. Glad you decided to jump on in. Yes, its worrying times but you are one step ahead of most other people by recognising it.
