800 acre Scottish island for sale

Post by CynicalSurvival »

Wow:

Pity I don't have £2mil or a way to raise it. That would really be self sufficient living - a long way from heavy population or nuclear hazards etc, too.

Ok I don't think I will manage this one but it is a dream, long-term!

That's been for sale for a wee while now - my friend used to go on knitting courses there and she loved it.

Yes it was in the news at least a year ago... Looks a stunning place with nice houses on it too. Getting the kids to school by boat, though?

The photos seem out of sync with the estate agent blurb. Can't see any houses nor a post office, harbour, or the 164,000 trees that have been planted. All rather odd!

It's a pretty large island and you can't see the detail from that pic. Basically the blobs around the closest bay are houses (it's just possible to count 9) and the blobs in the see are a fish farm.

This link to The Guardian gives a closer pic and you can see a lot of trees on the side of the hill too, who knows if it is 160k lol but that would be nice for the wood burner! :

ADDED:

This is much better - a slideshow! And this is the newer (cheaper) price of 2mil not 2.5
