Thank you for the intro.

Welcome to the forum. Hope you find what you're looking for.

What scenarios are you prepping for?

i started prepping years ago really it started when i saw two normal guys having a fight over £12 pounds worth of fuel at the pumps when there was a shortage
and i saw a change in the way people act and i realized then when something happens that i didnt want my family fighting over food or anything.
Now with recent events the fear of this virus coming here has made me up my game so whatever information tips or ideas out there i want to put them into practice.

Hello Nick and welcome.
My scenarios...well, anything!
One I can predict for me is a significant drop in earnings next April. To prepare for this I'm squirrelling away food, cash and fuel (wood) supplies, as well as seeking new ways to earn money. I've got involved in the business community through Totally Locally and am beginning to see opportunities there.
Not very exciting though eh?

I do fear an erosion of liberty and the welfare state, combined with another recession/depression. I need to consider how this might affect me.
Again, all a bit dull compared with Ebola or asteroids!

The one time in life where prepping served me very well was when both me and my wife were suddenly unable to work. Having cash, food, fuel and good friends helped us get through that particular SHTF.

My advice would be to think of the 'small' stuff like illness and employment. Things which are more likely to happen. Then move on to consider the less likely scenarios.
