Hi all,
Im very new to prepping and don't know nearly enough about even the basics yet, and am feeling a little overwhelmed by all the things to consider
All ive managed to do so far is put a few extra tins in boxes and order a wind p lantern, but I guess I have to start somewhere, right?
Firstly, don't panic, you have made a start and that puts you ahead of most of the population.
Take your time to read the posts and don't be afraid to ask questions, there are some very knowledgeable people on here and most of the time they don't bite
You'll soon be fully assimulated and one of us
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
I'll second that, don't panic. If you look at where you want to be and where you are now it is easy to get overwhelmed. The same has happened to me. You will find some great advice and help on this forum. Best piece of advice I can give you at the moment is make some lists of what you will want and characterize the things you need. Then take small steps. Don't burst the bank or stress yourself out doing everything right away. Every payday perhaps buy one or two things from your lists and every time you do your weekly shop buy an extra couple items. Keep it small and over time you will notice your supplies grow.

Congratulations. You may not think you have done much but as well as acknowledging the ideology of starting to prep, you have started to gather a few items.
You will find that you will start accumulating things very quickly and not realise it if you follow some of the advice you see on these forums, other preppers suggestions etc.
One thing i do is take advantage of the BOGOF offers, One for my food cupboards one for my prep cupboard, and dont buy foods to store that you dont eat or not tried before and remember to not get overwhelmed by everything

As above, "DONT PANIC MR MAINWARING!!" haha. As once said by Yorkshire Andy (above) take baby steps to conquer large staircases. Everyone deals with everything differently but i found it helpful to make lists (also see the lists subject on the forum) I made a list of what i had, and what i wanted to have and tried where i could to plug the gaps. My lists are ever changing with new knowledge from this site and every day experiences. Along with a few VERY small wins on the lottery allowing me to get a slightly better torch, or a solar charger for my phone etc.
Information is free and it costs nothing to browse the internet looking for a cheaper way to do something, or a better piece of equiptlent for the job in hand. If you have any questions that you cant find answers to here, post it up and you will be flooded with suggestions and answers.
Hope this helps
