Looks good and definitely the way to get started.
I'll back up Arsozah on the protein notes and suggest beans as an essential. (with wee sausages just for fun!)
So I started to prepare!

I have 2 tin openers in the car, 2 in the kitchen and 2 in the pantry.....

I have a husband who breaks tin openers.

Does anyone else find the P-38 a PITA to use ?
Or is it just because I have fat fingers?
I think we have about 8 tinopeners.... Not counting my Field Ration Eating Device, it looks like a like a P-51(the larger folding army opener) but with a (useless) little spoon on the end and a bottle jack

That's a good start and a little bit every week is the way to do it.
Those value tins of potatoes are amazing. Incredibly cheap and the basis for many of my prepping meals. All the main supermarkets sell cheap tins of mixed vegetables, baked beans, soups and stews etc. All of them go well on the side of potatoes (anyone else find themselves thinking 'potatoes' in Keith Lemons voice lol?).
One of my favourite budget meals is steamed potatoes and steamed mixed vegetables. Good for you and costs less than 50p!

I found both the 38 and 51 pretty easy to use, although outside in the cold, probably not so much.ForgeCorvus wrote:Does anyone else find the P-38 a PITA to use ?
