Hello Fello scouts

Post by the big fly in »

Hello fellow Scouts!

yip when I was a scout, the motow was "be preperd!" not for the end of the world as we know it but just if the lights go out have a torch!

now I am all grown up (suposedly) I still try to live by that mottow. so if the lights go out i still have a torch , well that is my first reason for joing the forum is to get a good quality inverter (800 kw) but more about that eals where.

My fav pod cast is THE SURVIVAL PODCAST try to get to him at least once a week on my whay to work.

my bigest concern ?? MMmm I am not realy paranoid, but we are dew for a flu epedemic but it will be nothing any one can predict , just like the one from 1919 atached helthy people and the week survived?? weerd !!
so I am not to woryed about the flu for my fam and I but the fall out from no infestructur living on an island with sutch hi population densatys, and the reasant mob rioting is quite conserning.

so my interests in preping or survivalisum is:
sustainable off grid- fule (heating and transport) -power (electrical)
6 months food for fam and friends (but they dont know it)
sustainable water
sustainable food - home permacaltur (guerrilla gardening for food and forist) have not found much on the net about guerrilla foristing but I plant about 1000 cobnuts and oak acorns this time of the year as well as from cuttings in summer (apple cherry ex) this is extreemly rewarding!

bla bla bla not much really just HI every one

hello and welcome to the forum

I've been wanting to sign my daughter up for scouts - have actually contacted the scouts in our area and have sent them some of the information they required - your post reminded me that I need to follow up with them. I'm also volunteering to be a scouts mom, to help out at the meetings etc. so hopefully will have some good times ahead.

I was a cub and a scout, I think it gave me great discipline for my adult life not forgetting how much fun it was, we were sent on camping trips all around Britain :D
