Caustic pencils and tinc iodine , great for warts and skin tags and i suffer from over granulation of any cuts and it was great , and tinc iodine was great for blisters , used a needle and syringe to suck out the fluid , and then inject the iodine and run because it was usually followed by screams .

Conjunctivitis is very contagious. Wash your hands and do not touch the affected area.unsure wrote:is there an old fashioned remedy for conjunctivitis .

Pink eye symptoms are easily noticeable as the eyeball and insides of eyelids become inflamed. The eye starts to itch and then turns red, followed by watery secretion. In some cases, pus is also formed, which dries up especially when one sleeps making the eyelashes stick together.
Distilled water in which jasmine flowers had been soaked overnight used as eye drops will work like a charm for pink eye, especially for the eye having yellow discharge.
Prepare a poultice of grated raw but red potato or grated apple and put it on your closed infected eyes for ½ an hour. And you would find favorable results within 2-3 days.
Prepare a decoction of handful of coriander in about 60 ml of water. It serves as superb eyewash and it is highly beneficial to reduce swelling and pain and relieves you from the burning sensation in the eyes.
Take 1 cup of the juice extracted from Indian gooseberry and mix 2 teaspoons of honey in it. It should be consumed two times in a day.
Treat pink eye with pulsatilla tablets. This is one of several homeopathic remedies that are known to be effective on pink eye. Five tablets every 3 to 4 hours until the pink eye goes away is the standard dose, but follow the dosing directions on the bottle you purchase.
Another home remedy for pink eye along the same lines is using eyebright herb made into a tea and treating the same as the chamomile. Some people like to use boric acid as an eyewash to relieve their pink eye and soothe the eyes but that sound a bit strange to many people so stick to the over the counter or prescription medications if you do not want to go that route.
Vegetable juices are proven for benefits in conjunctivitis. For this, one can take about 200 ml of spinach juice adding to 300 ml of carrot juice. This is mixed well and is taken on daily basis at least for 10 days. It is a commonly used natural remedy for conjunctivitis.
You can also make a tea using of powdered root bark of barberry in one cup of water. Boil the solution for about half an hour and then use it as eyewash or with a compress. Barberry contains berberine, which is an antibacterial compound.
