BOOTSALE FINDS

Post by munchh »

HI, i'm sure i'm not the only one who loves a bootsale, so thought i'd start this one to share our prepping style finds, i did my first two this weekend.

I used to look for certain things, but know i find my whole mindset of what i'm looking for has changed.

I'm now looking for things like....

Oil lamps, parafin/spirit burners, water containers, sleeping bags (i just missed out on one of those german military ones with arms today).

I will think of more.

Today i found, some folding/multi tools £1 each and a two piece waterproof suit for 20p! (old golf one).

I do love a booty :D

Axe heads, old woodworking tools are always there but finding the ones that are not being sold as antiques is the key

Today, my purchases were,
1) Snugpak Response and PLCE Trauma pouch. Both as new, 5 quid for the pair.
2) Israeli Field Dressing, a quid.
3) A signed Ranulph Fiennes book and a paperback about Bomb Disposal, the pair for 3 quid.
4) Another Ranulph Fiennes book, 25p

I have many a bargain from the boot sales. As they say though, the early bird catches the worm.

The missus went today leaving me looking after the boys. She got talking to somebody and with a bit of luck I'll be seeing him tomorrow and getting a box of rat oacks for 40 quid, a brand new Traser watch for 40 quid (180 quids worth of watch there!) and I'll also be looking at what other tasty kit he has to get rid of ;-)
