Is this safe for a water bag?

Post by essgee23 »

I purchased a 3.5 litre of 65% screen wash from a well known petrol station, the product is quite good, but the bag it came in is what I liked. :D

I was thinking if this was rinsed out enough, could I then keep it for a water carrying bag for camping etc?

Or would it just taste nasty and remain toxic or dangerous for too long??

The one in this image (Ididnt know about the torch deal sadly): http://carcareapp.co.uk/cca-uk/campaign ... 2&PID=2192

I don't think it would be a real good idea SG, some things leave a nasty taste even after thorough cleansing

And that is really expensive for a torch and a few ltrs of pre-mixed screen wash

Probably wouldn't use it for drinking water as there's no guarantee of getting rid of the screen wash chemicals. But storing water for loo flushing would be Ok.

yeah i thought so - just wanted to recycle it and use it for a better purpose. but would rather not taste screen wash or poison the family.

yep is stooopidly expensive isnt it - amazingly this was the only product left when i needed it other day so captive market there. bit annoying - wont be caught like that again

All part of the learning curve as preppers. Now you will find the cheapest deal, get a few and stock up, ready for next year and beyond. :D

the 2litre solid one Unsure??

I was looking for a plastic type thing to just roll up and place in a rucksack for camping and gathering/transporting water.
