Hello everyone, just an intro, i joined a couple of weeks ago, and know nothing so am enjoying searching, I live in West Lancashire, I'm 51, Father of 2 and grandfather of 3, so am starting prepping, to try to encourage them really, have still not began food prepping as it seems a minefield of info that i have to search through, so because of that, just researching transport, protection, hunting and bug-in or bug-out at the moment and before anyone says, i know thats another minefield of info. Anyway glad to be here and look forward to the rest....

Hello and welcome.

First of all, decide what you're prepping for (in order of probability). From that make a list of things you already have, need to get, need to learn etc.

Food and water are the most important prep - it sustains your life! Whether thats storing tins, growing your own, foraging etc. Plenty of info on all of that in the forum.

Any questions, just ask. :D

Hello, welcome to the forum.

I would second what Su has said. And add that if you start to feel overwhelmed by it all then take a break, regroup, and come back to it at a later date. Civilisation isn't going to collapse in the next few days. And each little thing you do, be it just buying a few extra tins of beans or a new torch, puts you ahead of the curve.
