Things are getting really bad for some in the country with these floods at the moment my heart goes out to those allready or about to have their lives turned upside down by flooding, yet my first thought with prepping and humour in mind was bug out boat?
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

I would love a bug out boat, i have my eyes on a party boat that is moored near by. This country is not built for bad weather even though we get a lot of it.

Just imagine getting a big shipping container boat and transforming it for living on we could fit every forum member and have room left over for a floating garden. Al we need is a couple of million for the boat, quick whip round anybody?

Has anyone read The Kraken Wakes?

Driving to and from work has been treacherous at times over the past few weeks, this morning being no exception.

Loving the idea of a container ship for a community - it'd be like Waterworld! Well, I hope not, actually :)

Read The Kraken Wakes when I was about 15 - wonderful stuff!

I'm now carrying an emergency tube tent in my EDC in my rucksack. It seems especially provident this week! :D

I certainly advise carrying one of these in your EDC. They're cheap and weigh next to nothing.
