Found this site a couple of weeks ago but unable to register till now, learnt some survival in the forces but became interested again recently after a power cut which lasted just over 24 hours, suddenly became aware of how dependant we were to all the mod cons didn't even have a candle in the house luckily i had bought a wind up torch and radio i had bought a few days earlier as a novelty.
That was certainly a wake up call for us and now prepping for them unforeseen emergency's.
