I've been following this forum now for a few weeks and have been waiting for the opportunity to join.
I live in Newcastle area and have never thought of myself as a prepper, but is something I am now taking more seriously due to the uncertain times that seem to lie ahead.
One of my main hobbies is gardening, mainly fruit and veg. My love of gardening comes from time spent with my late grandfather about fifty years ago. He was a miner in the North East coalfield, and he would often tell the story, that if there was a strike at local pit, I’m talking about the 1920’s - 30’s, and no money coming in, the garden was a way of providing for the family.
So perhaps prepping is not something new.
