Thanks for the welcome guys.. I'm not really a fatalist and I'm not taken on the idea of any sort of apocalypse, but I do believe there will be an energy shortage in the next ten years, natural fuels and electricity all going through the roof in price and the resultant chaos that that will bring, I guess a community of support is the best thing to foster the knowledge that will be needed at a time like that. I know enough to find edibles and medicines from the wild, I fish, forage and hunt regularly, I'm practised with bow, gun, catapult and other primitive techniques but that will not be enough to sustain me and my family should the need arise..The best form of preparation for me at the minute is knowledge, hence the reason why I'm here.

Hello and welcome to the forums. Yip most of us here arn't thinking "apocalypse" quite, but more change is in progress and lets be prepared for what ever does come to pass. :)
