So still havent tried the the fire stuff, but my other bits have turned up...

50x Waterproof/wind proof matches, 4 magnesiun strikers, 50x water purification tabs, 5x 2oz tabbaco tins, Crusader cook set (waterbottle, cup, stainless teflon coated cup, cook stand, lid and hanging clip for the crusader cup) all in a pouch.

just ordered a small hand axe and have a few things on the christmas list for the wife and kids to get me (lets hope the S does not HTF before then)

bushcraft knife, tiny folding gas cooker, handsome waterproof trousers and jacket combo, "portable soldier" water filter and an Ascent I cookset.

Have put together all the first aid kits i had all over the place and made up 6 zip lock bags with all the same in so nomatter which you pick up you have what you need.

Its a start. :D

No sorry. I bought it in a local independent Hardware Shop. I went in to buy the lights and just spotted the charger.

However, a quick google has bought up an amazon link :-

Hope that helps.

thanks pop will give the link a look

I got one of ebay and sods law it does not do micro usb that my Samsung and HTC use its the same as the blackberry ones, and it does not have an adapter to plug a usb lead into to use so it will live in the box of bits as it might be better than nothing or I might find an adaptor or something down the line

Cheers again

I've finally done it ... separated out the food in my kitchen and pantry according to the *year* of the best before date! I realised it was all getting too far out of joint, so I rearranged everything this morning, and I'm really glad I did. Now to eat the early stuff quick, before Christmas

Got some thermo-electric generators (semiconductor TEG) on order from ebay. Hope to use the temp difference between inside and outside to make some power or alternatively do something with bent metal to conduct the heat of a candle / spirit stove to make power for brighter lighting (and less polluting) then my olive oil lamp apparatus and possibly find a way of using it to charge electronic toys such as electronic cigarette technology / mobile phone etc.

This week I managed to blagg 30 large settee cushion covers (fire retardant) to store toilet rolls in the attic. Doubles as extra insulation and takes the worry about them going up in flames if theres an electrical fault. Need a couple hundred more rolls now to fill them.
