Hello from Manchester

Im Ginny and have been prepping for years but its only since my Hubby became disabled that it has become very important. Before it was about keeping the wolf from the door in general. Now its a serious situation firstly due to the stupidity of the DWP leaving us penniless for many months when I gave up work to care for him...we survived...just! So I began prepping in earnest so we wouldnt have to go through that hell again, so when they randomly stopped our money for 3 months last year we did better.


In amongst all that we had the bad winter of 2010 and reality hit us with a big bang. We were mainly housebound for 3 weeks. I did try and get him out in the car and then use the wheelchair but it was impossible.

I also feel that there will soon be a major breakdown in the world economies and we will all be left high and dry in a dangerous world. We will have to be self reliant and very clever to survive. I met some of the guys on the site in Manchester recently and had a great afternoon and learned a lot.
