Starting to take my prepping seriously

Post by Chiliprepper »

Hi everyone,

I have been a little worried about just how fragile our society can be for some time. A few bits a pieces set aside and a 4x4 on hand made me feel a little better.

This has now turned into a fully prepper bug out land rover discovery 300tdi (EMP proof) fuel stores, water stores and food stores. All the weapons UK law will permit and reserve currency.

When the Discovery Channel started their series on preppers I was delighted, of course they are all crazy Americans however at least I'm doing something others are too.

When I found a UK preppers site I was delighted!

Glad there are so many people getting ready for the things we always expect to be there, well... Just not being there.

I look forward to learning new things, and getting a heads up when possible.

Survival of the most prepared. (Better than fittest, I'm a bit fat for that to work for me)

Chiili pepper: I think being fat could work for you as you have stored energy should the SHTF not to mention warmer!

I'm in no rush to lose weight, an extra couple of stone overweight, ready for winter!
We live in a unsustainable world, there must be a balance, poor people/rich people no more, only prepared people will make it!

I'm lead to believe that the British army retro-fit 300tdi engines in newer Land rovers as they have no ECU. There is no electronics at all which is a bit rubbish if you want to chip it, but great if there is an EMP - Nothing to Fry!

After the 300TDI came the TD5 which is full of technology, and therefore nothing more than a paperweight should we get a solar flare big enough, or someone detonate a nuke in the atmosphere.

I guess we will never know until such an event happens, however as i understand it the Landy will be fine with no mods at all.

Cheers
