Hi guys,
Came across your site last night and thought I would join as I'm interested in the idea of 'prepping' and thought I would read some posts from some like minded folk out there.
Little bit about myself if you're interested; I'm 21, live in Leeds and I'm studying a sports science degree at York whilst still living with my parents in their three-bed semi. As you can imagine I don't have the necessary funds or space at the moment to fully begin with any sort of full scale 'prepping' but it is something I would look into in the future had we not already experienced a disaster by that point.
My location is fairly good on inspection; an estate located next to some rural fields and woods with running water passing through it so a number of essentials could be easily obtained within 5-10 minutes. My main issue with this however is that the community would be at risk of being looted/raided as there are quite a few houses here in one area, therefore survival and self-defence is the main area in which my prepping would need to start.
That's about it really! If anyone wants to know anymore then feel free to ask and I'm open to suggestions about how I could start my preparations or could at least start planning some defences etc if the worst ever does happen.

Hi and welcome one of the things you can do with little money and no space is to start looking at foraging for wild food get yourself a good book and start going for long walks not only in your local fields but around the streets as well. What ever you do don't look at your river for water it is likley be polutied with all sorts of things. But you could look at how to filter it just in case
