Oxygen
Hi , For an emergency supply of useable oxygen take a look on ebay at the sports oxygen cans , These can deliver 70 or more breaths worth from a throw away spray can . They work out much cheaper than the mask equiped cans and are easier to use . We use them on our 4 year old when she has one of her Tonic Clonic Epileptic seizures as we found that 2 or 3 squirts when she starts to fitt will bring her out of it within 30 seconds . If she has none then the usual course of action is A & E with 5 to 10 doctors working on her for upto 4 hours then having to put her to sleep to eleviate any risk of brain damage . Then into intensive care for 2 or 3 days . A supply is needed , just in case and these make for a light weight easily transportable source for just such an occasion . Of course during normality the large heavy and cumbersom bottles are much better . We had to use one just a week ago when going for a look around the peak district , we just got off the M1 onto the A161 when she started , 2 bursts of the pepermint flavoured oxygen and she was awake and talking within 30 seconds ...Your needs may be different to ours but i recomend these to everyone .

Re: Oxygen
Thank you so much, we will def. get some of these cans.
Our two year old suffered 14 febrile convulsions to date - his case is slightly unusual as his convulsions are triggered even by very mild fever. We are hoping that he will grow out of it eventually, but for now even a very mild fever put us under alert.....
All the best with your little one.
