Hi i recently started prepping, and when im in shops i have to buy something to store away, today was pasta in sauce chicken and mushroom, chicken rice and chicken cuppa soups oh and 2 jellies which can be eaten raw. its not a addiction as such just a very big urge lol, does anyone else not feel complete unless they buy something. cheers loreal

Not at all, I just get £5 or so worth of stuff to store away when on the weekly shop in Asda / Aldi, soon builds up when you can get the likes of smart price rice pudding for 12p lol

I feel like that - I go to the shops practically every day and if I don't walk out without something to put into the stores, I feel like I've missed out and am letting the preps down.

No, I don't feel like that. I blitzed the food shopping when I started, and I'm still adding as-and-when, but after the immediate push, I started looking at pieces of kit - how to start a fire, how to mend clothes, how to find my way across terrain, what to forage and where, that sort of thing. Its not only about food shopping, or any shopping. But shopping is a really good start!

Thats a really good point! I've just figured out that what I need to do is make a list of monthly basic consumables, and no matter what else I do, buy those - because otherwise I eat into my preps (literally  ) and don't quite realise the extent of it.
