Greetings from a wet Wales :-)

Post by BuckBadger »

Hey there,

Just a quickie to say hi to all. I've been reading the site for a couple of weeks, and I thought it was about time I took the plunge & said 'Hey'.

I've been prepping for a few months now, nothing too serious although I am starting to think more about the future & self sufficiency etc.
My first thoughts about prepping have been since we've moved out of the city and to a little village up the valley (fortunately not like the MTV show ;) ). When back in March, I think it was, we actually got snowed in!! No where else in the area did, just us! It appears, our little village has it's own little microclimate due to the narrowing of the valley or something like that.
Anyway, that got me thinking about what would happen if it did get really bad. So since then, I started prepping food just in case for a couple of days ... This led to a couple of weeks ... Now I'm probably at a month or two. :D
So, now I'm here thinking about long term. :)

Already, I've seen some great suggestions etc & I hope I can help others in the future. :)

Thanks & hello again!
