Crossbow bolts

Post by Magenta16v »

I had a play with my new crossbow this morning ( great fun ) got the cocking rope off the site recommended to me on here.
I had some large carpet tiles that I stick together and I must say turned out to be a perfect target
Anyway
The bolts/arrows I have are not the best of quality. The bolts that missed the targets all bent after hitting my shed

I don't know the difference between an alloy one and the others
Anybody recommend some good ones

Thanks

Try using carbon fibre ones. There a bit more expensive but seem to flex better. Don't forget to get some broad heads for if TSHTF only. although u can hunt on your own land if its vermin it ok but otherwise I would air caution. However when TSHTF will help provide food from small game.

Good luck shooting!

It is illegal to hunt any animal or bird with a bow or crossbow in the UK, even vermin. Fully enough I believe it is still legal to use them for fish.

A tip for you would be to mark the center of the sting with a marker pen/tipex whatever I mark mine either side of the rail, it has to be drawn evenly for the bolts to fly straight, the marks help alot.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.
