VERY insightful Tigs. I never knew how many uses that stuff has!

We always have about 3 bags of it in storage as we have two cats...

storing it is easy! keep it dry, it lasts for ever! and brands, its made from the same basic formula so it does not really matter unless you want it with added scents and smells

Sainsburys basics cat litter £1.28 for 8l, or go posh Clean-n-Tidy Adult everyday cat litter (contains 'herbal botanical essence' -whatever that means) £10.99 for 15kg !

herbal botanical essence is normally used in hair products :shock:

If you want the wood based pellets, Pets at home do an own brand which is reasonably priced. I don't know how it burns though as I've never tried.
