I also like Rationing Revisted - a blog and its on FB. She's young with 3 kids and they live on wartime rations.
I have 2 wartime cookery books, got on Amazon - "Eating for Victory" and "We'll Eat Again". Have tried a lot of menus and recipes from them and they're fine. Perfect for preppers, because they were short of everything and had to make do with what they could lay hands on. The veg soup in one book is so simple and it's perfect.
few carrots, few tatties, a leek, and two handfuls of porridge oats. Plus I add 2 stock cubes. Sounds like workhouse gruel but its actually fine
