Hi All - New to the forum, but not new to prepping - Its comforting to read the posts and discover so many like minded individuals who live in a realistic world. I originally hail from Southern Africa, with a back ground in the military and then as a Paramedic in the emergency services, and also in the security industry.My belief in prepping and self sufficiency comes from having been in many situations where it most certainly did not take much to go from civil order to chaotic unrest and anarchy in a very short space of time, over an enormous geographical region, resulting in a breakdown of services which we tend to take for granted - regardless of the catalyst, social breakdown happens all over the world, we regularly witness it via the media, and yet Bubble Dwellers, trusting in others, still proliferate. A part of me is envious of them as they scurry around, oblivious to the temperamental nature of the economy, climatic factors, potential political fallout, resource challenges and all their possible ramifications - Hey ho, that's my introduction over with - my colours bared for all to see - well, on this forum anyway!!
