Well I am a little late in starting my prepping if I am to trust all the 'end of the world' horror stories I have been reading about that are due to happen but I am trying to make up for it by being a slightly crazy prepper! I started off buying a few tins of food but soon came to the conclusion it's not gonna last me very long! so I have now started prepping a little more especially dried foods as they have a good shelf life!
I have been amazed at the difference in price between the regular supermarkets and the others like lidl and aldi, I am now going to be making regular trips to the cheaper alternatives more often especially for tinned goods!
So a little about me.........
My partner and myself are both fully committed to prepping for whatever is to come be it natural disaster/end of the financial system/pandemic it really helps that we are both on the same wave length I couldn't imagine trying to disguise my crazy extra food supply if he wasn't in on it, we each have a daughter who we are fibbing to about all the extra tinned food mainly 'oh it's so when we go camping next we wont have to go out and buy extra tinned food' as far as I'm concerned so long as we are as prepared as possible then the kids don't need to be worrying about it too.
I think we are now well on our way to a 3 month supply of food for the 4 of us, we have ordered heirloom seeds from the USA and now waiting for their arrival, we already grow veg in the garden and have a few chickens too.
we are constantly adding to our list of must haves just in case the SHTF, but I think we are doing pretty well, so far anyway
Well I seem to be writing an essay so I shall leave it there else I'll put you all to sleep
