New member from Northamptonshire
Hello everyone, I've been watching this site for sometime and finally decided to join. I live in Northamptonshire, in a town called little Scotland for those that know. I'm an Engineer with a mechanical background but know a little electrical. I'm just starting out in prepping, collecting stuff together like food, equipment etc. Prepping for my wife and 14 month old daughter. I believe we are heading for a major economic collapse and all the stuff that goes with it. I think I've always been a prepper at heart. I don't want to "bug out" however my location would seem that it would be my only option. I live in a part of town known to some as "Spam valley", and by that they mean 2 brand new cars on the drive and a tin of spam in the cupboard. Its all very keep up with the Jone's round here. I've started collecting extra bits of food each week and storing it in the cupboard under my stairs. I work in a soup factory on maintenance so i know all about canning food and how long it really can last. As for prepping, I've got a lot to learn and a lot to get together and not a lot of time to get it. Look forward to joining in on discussions and contributing as and when.

Hi, sounds good. Growing things is not my strong point, I've started growing things on my kitchen window sill. I guess i have to start somewhere.Outsiders68 wrote:I'm new as well and we are close perhaps we should chat further.

Hi Joe,
I'm new as well! I'm relatively close to (same county), like yourself I am at the begining of this journey. However that's because my work has left me little opportunity to do so. I'm currently setting up my garden and making changes to my home. I'm looking to network with like minded people. I'm a father as well and understand the need to look after my family. My area is security. I have 15 years in the Army under my belt and also private security employment to.
