Hello from Chesterfield
Hello all. Just joined this site, hoping to meet like minded people and share tips and experiences. I have been into prepping for the last few years but was a bit wary of joining a forum because im a bit of a technophobe and never used a forum before. Any help, advice much appreciated!

Re: Hello from Chesterfield
Thanks Arzosah. Well im a 34 yr old male.I got into camping and stuff with the cub scouts when i was a lot younger, think i was 7 or 8. Around that time my uncle who is ex forces bought me The SAS survival Handbook (that i still have) and a 10" Rambo knife ( much to the dismay of my Mum) and i,ve had a keen interest in the outdoors ever since. About 10 years ago a had friends who you would class as New Age Travellers, they lived in tents, buses and tree houses. They got me into the whole alternative lifestyle thing and thats when i started picking up books on living off the grid etc..Over the past 2 years i have been going out doing wild camps alone just trying to put to test the things i have read about, last year a did a basic survival course with Trueways survival school also.Where im at now is i have got all the gear (B.O.B etc), started stocking up on food abit (just buying deals when doing the weekly shop), read loads of books, got rid of lots of material things i dont need and cut my out-goings right down. Now just want to be in touch with like minded people and possibly meet up with people in my area to bounce ideas around. Not sure really what i,m prepping for, financial collapse seems to be the most likely to me. Read "Patriots" not to long ago, dont think the UK would be like that if the banking system collapsed and hyperinflation left everyone hungry. But i do think it,s highly likely that in the not to distant future something major is change the way we live.
