Hello from Derbyshire
Hi I'm Lucy, or lupilu, and I'm completely new to this. I've been troubled by the problems with... oh everything for the past few years, but this year really does seem to be getting crazy and knowing little to nothing about prepping I thought it would be better to be a part of this forum and learn from others
.
I live in South Derbyshire with my other half and our two cats.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Good place to start is here
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=817
Then make lists. Look around and see what you already have that could be used in an emergency eg torches, camping stove etc can all be used in a power cut.
Then look at what you eat over a month and plan to get enough to last 3 months.
If you have any rucksacks think about your BOB (Bug Out Bag) in case you need to evacuate your home.
viewforum.php?f=42
If you drive think about an emergency box in your car.

( you may need to adapt this for your circumstances)
BUT whatever you do is a step forward, so well done!

Re: Hello from Derbyshire
Welcome from Lancashire.
Don't Panic ! Not so very long ago we were all where you are now. We all started from having nothing - but you will be amazed at how quickly stores will grow if you just buy a few extra items each week.
You are already ahead of the game by realizing there is a need.
