Hi from Berkshire

Post by Frufru »

Hello!

Glad to have found this forum and notice a few of my MSE buddies over here

My prepping started when I moved to a remote area about 9 years ago and just wanted a few bits in the car just in case of emergency - M11 snow anyone?! Since then i've become more aware of potential situations in which I would far rather be prepared than not even though I am not in a remote area anymore.

Unfortunately nobody that I know (that I am aware of) has any kind of store of food, and most live week to week and have empty cupboards by the time they go shopping :o Their attitude is that a) nothing will happen here  b) we live near shops so we will be ok  They cannot comprehend that they may lose electricity/water/gas for anything more than a couple of hours and they have no idea that all these systems rely on computers and therefore are fragile resources!

I am by no means well prepared (only got water for a couple of days but have food for probably a month or more, no BOB or BOL), but plan to be so all the advice on here will be great.

Happy Prepping :D

Welcome!

It's funny how once you start prepping, you notice just how unprepared most people are, isn't it? It's like everyone has their heads in the sand!
