I always use a Duck Tape wrap round my bottles/knife handles etc. it is handy for running repairs and I love it!
Now I read about Gorrilla tape and my research is positive. However , I could do with practical feedback. Please.
Anyone used Gorrilla Tape?

Its stronger than normal duct tape but costs more, I keep a few roll around the house along with aluminum tape as they come in useful.jansman wrote:I always use a Duck Tape wrap round my bottles/knife handles etc. it is handy for running repairs and I love it!

The glue on the back gets a better bond to a surface.jansman wrote:Stronger in what way please?
It uses two layers of adhesive and two layers of fabric backing to add strength, with the manufacturers claiming it to be 2000% stronger than any duct tape on the market.
Re: Anyone used Gorrilla Tape?

Anyone used Gorrilla Tape?
Hi
On a similar subject - i think chemical metal should also be in the preppers kit.
I purchased a very easy to use version - was 1 colour plasticine sausage rolled inside a different colour plasticine sausage. Cut a slice off. Mix until the colour is uniform. Is fully shapable like putty. Fix what ever is broken. Leave for 20mins. The stuff sets rock hard and can be filed, sanded etc if needed.
Dead easy to use - and there could be a million and one uses for a prepper.
Cost me £5 for a piece as round as a 5p and about 4" long - a useful amount. Gonna put 3 packs in stock ASAP.
Cheers
Matt

Re: Anyone used Gorrilla Tape?
You can get Jb weld for about £4.00, its used for metal repair and withstands temperatures up to 500° so you can use it to repair a crack in an engine block (not the best idea but it will work)The-Great-Nothing wrote:Hi

Re: Anyone used Gorrilla Tape?
I can vouch for gorilla tape- took the hair off the back of my fingers when a piece wrapped over them as for chem metal & Jb weld, I repaired a hole in a diff with chem metal & a large crack in a timing case with JB weld.
Something else I've found very handy is self amalgamating tape, basically it is a rubber based tape that when stretched and wrapped onto it's-self forms a water tight seal. used it to seal electrical cables and leaks in water pipes and hoses - super handy stuff.
I keep all the above in my spares box in the landy
regards all.

No the Gorrilla won't let me
I thought Duct tape was expensive compared to other tape you can struggle to find that for a pound a roll. I feel tape should be an inexpensive item so i will pass.

I used 'Proper' branded Duck Tape to hold a car bumper on the other day. I also used a cheap Poundland brand. Worlds apart!Bear86 wrote:No the Gorrilla won't let me![]()

Most certainly a case of getting what you pay for.
